Dr
Eulenstein is a formulated nutraceutical for shrimp in grow-out phase. Dr Eulenstein
is a lipid-based suspension that contains specific vitamins, organic trace
minerals and seaweed lectins which are main natural active compound in the formula.
Working
action of lectins: the adhesion of a pathogen to the cell membrane of a host is the first
mandatory step involved in the infection process. The interaction between
proteins and lectins (polysaccharides) is responsible for this adhesion process.
Seaweed extracts are well known for their action against fouling, pathogen
adhesion, enhancing macrophage phagoctosis, etc. Seaweeds such Enteromorpha
spp, Fucus spp, Ascophyllum sp., Macrocystis sp., Microcystis sp. And some red
algae are containing complex carbohydrates such as fucans, fucoidans,
glycoconjugates and specific lectins that inhibit the growth of viruses and
block their adhesion onto the host cell membrane. Seaweed extracts are at the
centre of an emerging field of research dealing with adherence and
anti-adherence mechanism.
The seaweed extract SPC is interacting directly with the
viral proteins that are responsible for the adhesion process onto the receptor
cells of the shrimp tissue by forming an insoluble complex with lectins and other
specific complex polysaccharides.

Instruction
for use:
Use Dr Eulenstein
as coating material on normal shrimp pellet at the rate of 1 to 2%. The
product is formulated to crystallize at temperature below 20oC. Place the
plastic container in a warm place before use (under the sun for an hour) until
the product becomes a thick liquid lipid-based suspension. Feed the shrimp once
the symptoms of viral infection are noticed and before the shrimp stops eating
or ingesting food.
Use the product for no more than 2 or 3 days.
